We had such a great experience with Queens Park Level 2 Electrical. Our quote was super reasonable and Karl’s work installing our down lights and fans was awesome and had a great final result. Everyone we worked with was really friendly and it really felt like an honest and fair company. Karl was also super lovely with our toddler and dog too! Thanks again!
Daniel led an excellent team to deliver an electrical upgrade to our apartment. Karl and Remy were professional, punctual and customer and outcome focused in performing works that were at times quite challenging. Queens Park Level 2 Electrical will be my ‘go to’ business for future electrical needs.
Queens Park Level 2 Electrical service was excellent from the initial call to book the job, through to advice as to when the electrician was due to arrive and the actual completion of the job. Daniel also gave us advice on other electrical issues we had at no extra charge. Highly recommended
The guys were really accommodating, did a professional job and were very polite. They took the time to go over everything that they had done and answer any questions.
I found it quite challenging to get an electrician to answer my calls or respond to text messages. How refreshing to find Queens Park Level 2 Electrical! Daniel was on time, extremely professional and so capable! I will only use these guys from now on. So impressed!
I originally had Daniel & team out to replace wired smoke alarm, install extra general power outlets & upgrade ceramic fuses. But ended up with the team doing all these plus upgrading the switchboard , replace ceiling fans to energy efficient ones & replacing cotton electrical cabling too. Across the 3 visits, the team were very friendly, professional & work seamlessly with the tasks. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the results & would highly recommend Queens Park Level 2 Electrical for your electrical needs. Thanks Daniel & team for a 5-star service!
Our Service Side 80A fuse which protects the Power Meter blew up in a spectacular manner (see photo) at 9pm on a Friday night, causing total blackout of our Home. We rang Queens Park Level 2 Electrical 24 Hours emergency number. We received immediate friendly support and within 30 minutes Daniel, a Level 2 certified Electrician, was at our Home replacing the 80A Service side Fuse, installing a Lightning Protector and ensuring all wiring was perfect! He was a true professional, providing safety advice, a 5 year Warranty and great value. I strongly recommend Queens Park Level 2 Electrical!
We lost our power overnight due to minor flooding, Nathan arrived promptly and gave us a detailed quote. Unfortunately our switchboard was non compliant, we had some safety issues, but a full day later we were back up and running. Daniel and Braydon worked really hard and efficiently all day, communicating what was happening and as more rain was expected, they even tarped our eave that was leaking. They left the premises neat and clean, even wiping down the walls. I highly recommend them.
Daniel, Chris, Braydon and the team have been fantastic to work with, great quality and very professional service. Ill be using them again on all future electrical work
It’s amazing how Daniel and Chris came to solve a complex problem and restored the power that my previous electrician was unable to figure it out. They provided prompt and outstanding service! Highly recommended it!

Daniel has done an absolute stellar job changing our switchboard and reenergising our shop after the explosive fire next door and really put in the hard yakka over two full days. He was prompt to reply and professional and very much on-time. I highly recommend Daniel and his team, and will be using them in future.

Still have questions about electrical defect notices in Queens Park? Check out these FAQs or reach out to our team for expert guidance. We're here to help you understand and resolve your electrical defect notice efficiently and safely, ensuring your property remains connected and compliant.
An electrical defect notice is issued by your network provider, typically Ausgrid in the Queens Park area, when they identify unsafe or non-compliant electrical installations connected to their network during routine inspections or following reported issues. These notices outline specific problems that must be rectified within a given timeframe to maintain safe electrical connection to your property. The defects identified pose safety risks or fail to meet current Australian Standards and network requirements. Failing to address these defects can result in disconnection of your power supply, as the network provider has a legal obligation to maintain safety standards throughout their distribution network. Common defects include deteriorated service cables, non-compliant switchboards, inadequate earthing, unsafe points of attachment, and undersized consumer mains that no longer meet load requirements.
Timeframes vary depending on the severity of the defect and the issuing authority's assessment of the safety risk involved. Critical safety defects that pose an immediate danger may require urgent attention, sometimes within a very short period, while less urgent issues might allow several weeks for rectification. The specific deadline will be clearly stated on your defect notice documentation. We recommend acting promptly regardless of the timeframe given, as delays can complicate the situation and extend the period of non-compliance. Some defects may initially be flagged for future rectification but can escalate to urgent status if conditions deteriorate or if network inspections reveal worsening conditions. Our team at Queens Park Level 2 Electrical can assess your notice, explain the urgency level, and provide realistic completion timeframes that meet the network provider's requirements while accommodating your schedule where possible.
Ignoring an electrical defect notice can have serious consequences across multiple areas. The network provider has the authority to disconnect your power supply if defects aren't addressed within the specified timeframe, leaving your property without electricity until rectification work is completed and approved. Additionally, unresolved electrical defects pose significant safety risks including fire hazards, electric shock potential, and damage to appliances and electrical equipment. Insurance coverage may also be compromised if a claim arises from an unresolved electrical defect, as insurers may view failure to address known safety issues as negligence. From a legal perspective, property owners have a duty of care to maintain safe electrical installations, and unresolved defects could expose you to liability. For commercial properties, defects can impact business operations and create workplace safety obligations under WHS legislation. In Queens Park, where many properties feature older electrical infrastructure, addressing defects promptly helps maintain property value and ensures ongoing electrical safety for occupants.
Electrical defect notices often involve work on or near the network connection point, which requires a licenced Level 2 electrician, also known as an Accredited Service Provider or ASP. Queens Park Level 2 Electrical has the proper certifications and network authorisations to legally perform this specialised work throughout Queens Park and the broader Eastern Suburbs. General electricians without Level 2 accreditation cannot complete many of the tasks required for defect notice resolution, as these involve working on the consumer mains, service lines, metering equipment, and other infrastructure that connects directly to the network. Level 2 electricians have undergone additional training and assessment, maintain specific insurance coverage, and are registered with network providers like Ausgrid to carry out this work. We also have the authority to issue Certificates of Compliance and lodge the necessary documentation with the network provider, ensuring your defect notice is properly closed out in their systems. Attempting to use an unqualified electrician could result in work being rejected, further delays, additional costs, and potential safety issues.
In Queens Park, common defect notice issues include deteriorated overhead service cables on older properties, particularly where weather exposure has degraded insulation over time. Non-compliant metering arrangements are frequently identified, especially in properties that have undergone renovations without proper electrical upgrades. Inadequate clearances for aerial conductors across driveways and pathways often arise as vegetation grows or property modifications alter original clearances. Insufficient consumer mains capacity becomes apparent when modern electrical loads exceed what older installations were designed to handle. Private poles on some properties may show signs of structural deterioration, rot, or inadequate earthing connections that fail current standards. The area's proximity to Centennial Parklands means some properties have mature trees that can interfere with service lines, creating safety and clearance issues. Switchboard compliance problems are common in older homes where circuit protection hasn't been updated to include safety switches and proper earthing. Underground service defects sometimes occur where renovations or landscaping has compromised cable protection or burial depth. Our team at Queens Park Level 2 Electrical has extensive experience addressing these specific Queens Park defect scenarios efficiently.
Whether you’re facing a supply-side electrical emergency, have received a defect notice, or are planning property development requiring new network connections, our accredited Level 2 electricians are here to help.
